Video 8, Hi8 and Digital8 Tape Conversion in Perth
There are three distinct type of these video formats. All the video tapes looked identical and have the same tape size dimensions.
We can transfer all these different formats to either a DVD or USB memory stick
In small numbers the cost is $35 per tape transferred and if you have more than 10 you will get a 10% discount,
If you transfer more than 20 you will get a 20% discount.
If you wish to transfer to a DVD disk then the cost of the DVD in case is included.
If you wish to transfer to USB there is an additional $15 charge for the USB. However, this is a one-off cost and many different videos can be fitted on to a single USB memory stick.
Video8 Video tapes
Video8 was introduced way back in 1984, and because it was much smaller than the VHS tapes used at the time was quickly adopted by camcorder manufactures and could record up to 120 minutes of video footage.
Hi8 Video tapes
Sony introduced Video Hi8, an improved version of the original format.
Digital8 Video tapes
Was released in 1999, and as the name implies used a digital format, rather than an analogue signal.
